Abstract:Evaluating software engineering capabilities has become a core component of modern large language models (LLMs); however, the key bottleneck hindering further scaling lies not in the scarcity of high-quality solutions, but in the lack of high-quality test suites. Test suites are indispensable both for synthesizing program repair trajectories and for providing precise feedback signals in reinforcement learning. Unfortunately, due to the high cost and difficulty of annotation, high-quality test suites have long been hard to obtain, while those automatically generated by LLMs tend to be superficial and lack sufficient discriminative power. As a first step toward constructing high-quality test suites, we introduce SWE-Mutation, a benchmark for evaluating LLM-generated test suites. The benchmark characterizes test suites by introducing systematically mutated solutions that attempt to ``fool'' the test suites and pass validation. We further propose an agentic, language-agnostic framework for automatically generating complex mutants. Our benchmark consists of 2,636 mutated variants derived from 800 original instances and includes a multilingual subset spanning nine programming languages. Experiments on seven LLMs reveal that even DeepSeek-V3.1 achieves only 10.20% verification and 36.15% detection rates, highlighting the inadequacy of current LLMs. Additionally, our agentic mutation strategy enhances realism, reducing average detection rates from 71.04% to 39.81% compared to conventional methods. These findings expose persistent deficiencies in the ability of current LLMs to generate reliable and discriminative test suites.
Abstract:We present Qwen-Image-2.0, an omni-capable image generation foundation model that unifies high-fidelity generation and precise image editing within a single framework. Despite recent progress, existing models still struggle with ultra-long text rendering, multilingual typography, high-resolution photorealism, robust instruction following, and efficient deployment, especially in text-rich and compositionally complex scenarios. Qwen-Image-2.0 addresses these challenges by coupling Qwen3-VL as the condition encoder with a Multimodal Diffusion Transformer for joint condition-target modeling, supported by large-scale data curation and a customized multi-stage training pipeline. This enables strong multimodal understanding while preserving flexible generation and editing capabilities. The model supports instructions of up to 1K tokens for generating text-rich content such as slides, posters, infographics, and comics, while significantly improving multilingual text fidelity and typography. It also enhances photorealistic generation with richer details, more realistic textures, and coherent lighting, and follows complex prompts more reliably across diverse styles. Extensive human evaluations show that Qwen-Image-2.0 substantially outperforms previous Qwen-Image models in both generation and editing, marking a step toward more general, reliable, and practical image generation foundation models.
Abstract:Spatially consistent long-horizon video generation aims to maintain temporal and spatial consistency along predefined camera trajectories. Existing methods mostly entangle memory modeling with video generation, leading to inconsistent content during scene revisits and diminished generative capacity when exploring novel regions, even trained on extensive annotated data. To address these limitations, we propose a decoupled framework that separates memory conditioning from generation. Our approach significantly reduces training costs while simultaneously enhancing spatial consistency and preserving the generative capacity for novel scene exploration. Specifically, we employ a lightweight, independent memory branch to learn precise spatial consistency from historical observation. We first introduce a hybrid memory representation to capture complementary temporal and spatial cues from generated frames, then leverage a per-frame cross-attention mechanism to ensure each frame is conditioned exclusively on the most spatially relevant historical information, which is injected into the generative model to ensure spatial consistency. When generating new scenes, a camera-aware gating mechanism is proposed to mediate the interaction between memory and generation modules, enabling memory conditioning only when meaningful historical references exist. Compared with the existing method, our method is highly data-efficient, yet the experiments demonstrate that our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance in terms of both visual quality and spatial consistency.
Abstract:In real-world applications of noninvasive electroencephalography (EEG), specialized decoders often show limited generalizability across diverse tasks under subject-independent settings. One central challenge is that task-relevant EEG signals often follow different temporal organization patterns across tasks, while many existing methods rely on task-tailored architectural designs that introduce task-specific temporal inductive biases. This mismatch makes it difficult to adapt temporal modeling across tasks without changing the model configuration. To address these challenges, we propose DSAINet, an efficient dual-scale attentive interaction network for general EEG decoding. Specifically, DSAINet constructs shared spatiotemporal token representations from raw EEG signals and models diverse temporal dynamics through parallel convolutional branches at fine and coarse scales. The resulting representations are then adaptively refined by intra-branch attention to emphasize salient scale-specific patterns and by inter-branch attention to integrate task-relevant features across scales, followed by adaptive token aggregation to yield a compact representation for prediction. Extensive experiments on five downstream EEG decoding tasks across ten public datasets show that DSAINet consistently outperforms 13 representative baselines under strict subject-independent evaluation. Notably, this performance is achieved using the same architecture hyperparameters across datasets. Moreover, DSAINet achieves a favorable accuracy-efficiency trade-off with only about 77K trainable parameters and provides interpretable neurophysiological insights. Abstract:Reinforcement Learning with Verifiable Rewards (RLVR) has catalyzed significant advances in the reasoning capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs). However, effectively managing the exploration and exploitation trade-off remains a critical challenge. In this paper, we fully analyze the exploration and exploitation dilemma of extremely hard and easy samples during the training and propose a new fine-grained trade-off mechanism. Concretely, we introduce a perplexity space disentangling strategy that divides the sample space into distinct exploration (high perplexity) and exploitation (low perplexity) subspaces, thereby mining fine-grained samples requiring exploration-exploitation trade-off. Subsequently, we propose a bidirectional reward allocation mechanism with a minimum impact on verification rewards to implement perplexity-guided exploration and exploitation, enabling more stable policy optimization. Finally, we have evaluated our method on two mainstream tasks: mathematical reasoning and function calling, and experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method, confirming its effectiveness in enhancing LLM performance by fine-grained exploration-exploitation trade-off.
Abstract:Enabling large language models to scale and reliably use hundreds of tools is critical for real-world applications, yet challenging due to the inefficiency and error accumulation inherent in flat tool-calling architectures. To address this, we propose Hybrid Toolset Agentization & Adaptation (HTAA), a hierarchical framework for scalable tool-use planning. We propose a novel toolset agentization paradigm, which encapsulates frequently co-used tools into specialized agent tools, thereby reducing the planner's action space and mitigating redundancy. To ensure effective coordination, we design Asymmetric Planner Adaptation, a trajectory-based training paradigm that aligns the high-level planner with agent tools via backward reconstruction and forward refinement. To validate the performance of HTAA, we conduct experiments on a real-world internal dataset, InfoVerify, based on the POI validation workflow of China's largest online large-scale ride-hailing platform, featuring long-horizon executable tool trajectories. Experiments on InfoVerify and widely-used benchmarks show that HTAA consistently achieves higher task success rates, requires short tool calling trajectories, and significantly reduces context overhead compared to strong baselines. Furthermore, in a production deployment, HTAA substantially reduces manual validation effort and operational cost, demonstrating its practical efficacy.
Abstract:Electroencephalography (EEG) provides a non-invasive window into brain activity, offering high temporal resolution crucial for understanding and interacting with neural processes through brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). Current dual-stream neural networks for EEG often process temporal and spatial features independently through parallel branches, delaying their integration until a final, late-stage fusion. This design inherently leads to an "information silo" problem, precluding intermediate cross-stream refinement and hindering spatial-temporal decompositions essential for full feature utilization. We propose LI-DSN, a layer-wise interactive dual-stream network that facilitates progressive, cross-stream communication at each layer, thereby overcoming the limitations of late-fusion paradigms. LI-DSN introduces a novel Temporal-Spatial Integration Attention (TSIA) mechanism, which constructs a Spatial Affinity Correlation Matrix (SACM) to capture inter-electrode spatial structural relationships and a Temporal Channel Aggregation Matrix (TCAM) to integrate cosine-gated temporal dynamics under spatial guidance. Furthermore, we employ an adaptive fusion strategy with learnable channel weights to optimize the integration of dual-stream features. Extensive experiments across eight diverse EEG datasets, encompassing motor imagery (MI) classification, emotion recognition, and steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP), consistently demonstrate that LI-DSN significantly outperforms 13 state-of-the-art (SOTA) baseline models, showcasing its superior robustness and decoding performance. Abstract:Recent advancements in image generation have achieved impressive results in producing high-quality images. However, existing image generation models still generally struggle with a spatial reasoning dilemma, lacking the ability to accurately capture fine-grained spatial relationships from the prompt and correctly generate scenes with structural integrity. To mitigate this dilemma, we propose RL-RIG, a Reinforcement Learning framework for Reflection-based Image Generation. Our architecture comprises four primary components: Diffuser, Checker, Actor, and Inverse Diffuser, following a Generate-Reflect-Edit paradigm to spark the Chain of Thought reasoning ability in image generation for addressing the dilemma. To equip the model with better intuition over generation trajectories, we further develop Reflection-GRPO to train the VLM Actor for edit prompts and the Image Editor for better image quality under a given prompt, respectively. Unlike traditional approaches that solely produce visually stunning yet structurally unreasonable content, our evaluation metrics prioritize spatial accuracy, utilizing Scene Graph IoU and employing a VLM-as-a-Judge strategy to assess the spatial consistency of generated images on LAION-SG dataset. Experimental results show that RL-RIG outperforms existing state-of-the-art open-source models by up to 11% in terms of controllable and precise spatial reasoning in image generation.
Abstract:Generating explorable 3D scenes from a single image is a highly challenging problem in 3D vision. Existing methods struggle to support free exploration, often producing severe geometric distortions and noisy artifacts when the viewpoint moves far from the original perspective. We introduce \textbf{One2Scene}, an effective framework that decomposes this ill-posed problem into three tractable sub-tasks to enable immersive explorable scene generation. We first use a panorama generator to produce anchor views from a single input image as initialization. Then, we lift these 2D anchors into an explicit 3D geometric scaffold via a generalizable, feed-forward Gaussian Splatting network. Instead of treating the panorama as a single image for reconstruction, we project it into multiple sparse anchor views and reformulate the reconstruction task as multi-view stereo matching, which allows us to leverage robust geometric priors learned from large-scale multi-view datasets. A bidirectional feature fusion module is used to enforce cross-view consistency, yielding an efficient and geometrically reliable scaffold. Finally, the scaffold serves as a strong prior for a novel view generator to produce photorealistic and geometrically accurate views at arbitrary cameras. By explicitly conditioning on a 3D-consistent scaffold to perform reconstruction, One2Scene works stably under large camera motions, supporting immersive scene exploration. Extensive experiments show that One2Scene substantially outperforms state-of-the-art methods in panorama depth estimation, feed-forward 360° reconstruction, and explorable 3D scene generation. Abstract:3D affordance grounding aims to highlight the actionable regions on 3D objects, which is crucial for robotic manipulation. Previous research primarily focused on learning affordance knowledge from static cues such as language and images, which struggle to provide sufficient dynamic interaction context that can reveal temporal and causal cues. To alleviate this predicament, we collect a comprehensive video-based 3D affordance dataset, \textit{VIDA}, which contains 38K human-object-interaction videos covering 16 affordance types, 38 object categories, and 22K point clouds. Based on \textit{VIDA}, we propose a strong baseline: VideoAfford, which activates multimodal large language models with additional affordance segmentation capabilities, enabling both world knowledge reasoning and fine-grained affordance grounding within a unified framework. To enhance action understanding capability, we leverage a latent action encoder to extract dynamic interaction priors from HOI videos. Moreover, we introduce a \textit{spatial-aware} loss function to enable VideoAfford to obtain comprehensive 3D spatial knowledge. Extensive experimental evaluations demonstrate that our model significantly outperforms well-established methods and exhibits strong open-world generalization with affordance reasoning abilities. All datasets and code will be publicly released to advance research in this area.
